Job Description
Overview

Veterinary Surgeon - East London. A full-time vet is sought to join a busy, well-established first-opinion practice in Newham, London. The team blends clinical excellence with genuine camaraderie and provides a supportive environment for learning and collaboration.

Responsibilities
  • Work as part of a busy GP team with the ability to work independently while receiving full support for complex cases and out-of-hours care from the hospital.
  • Perform routine surgeries and dentals; contribute to a high standard of patient and client care.
  • Be involved in a 40-hour working week with a 1-in-4 Saturday rota and a 1-in-8 Sunday rotation at the nearby Veterinary Hospital.
  • Participate in up to two bank holidays per year and be included in the last-resort on-call and twilight rota for the hospital.
  • Attend a hospital orientation day as part of induction to ensure you are prepared before your first shift.
  • Collaborate with a senior vet, senior RVN, trainee nurses, and a regional manager to foster learning and clinical development.
Requirements
  • Interest in a fast-paced busy GP setting and confidence with routine surgeries and dentals.
  • Ability to work independently while leveraging hospital support for complex cases and after-hours care.
  • Willingness to engage in ongoing professional development and ECC opportunities during Sunday shifts.
Benefits & Compensation
  • Salary range: £45,000 to £61,000 FTE, depending on experience.
