Early Years Practitioner (Maternity Cover)

Newton Westpark Nursery was registered on the 18th July 2014 and is a 32 place nursery, therefore each room can offer 16 places per session. Our nursery is open from 8.45am to 3:30pm term time only, offering morning, afternoon and full day sessions.

We have one large room that has been segregated into two separate spaces offering places for children aged from 2 to 4 years old.

Our nursery is on the ground floor and we have a ramp access. There are double doors leading from the nursery room directly onto our outdoor area, this is a shared space and both rooms can access this at all times.

Early Years Practitioner (Maternity Leave Cover)

To be a key person in high quality provision for children aged 2-4 years in line with current legislation and local initiatives. The post holder will act as a key worker for children within the setting and will be responsible for working in partnership with parents/carers.

Requirements:

• Level 3 in Childcare (prefered)
• Happy to do 8:30am - 4:30pm
• Term-time / 37.5 hours per week
• Part-time (considered)

Responsibilities:

• Supervise and provide particular support for children, including those with additional needs, esnuring their safety and access to learning activities
• Establish constructive relationships with children and interact with them according to individual needs
• Provide deailed and regular feedback on Pupils achievement, progress to the Nursery Manager

Safeguarding & Safety

• Following safeguarding and child protection procedures
• Promoting inclusive practice and supporting children with additional needs
• Maintaining accurate attendance and incident records
• Ensuring health & safety procedures are followed at all times
