Job Type: Part-Time / Full-Time / Flexible
Make a Real Difference in Thamesmead's Early Years! It takes real dedication to work in early years. We are looking for people who genuinely love being around children-the kind of practitioners who are just as happy building block towers as they are comforting a toddler who misses home.
We have partnered with some fantastic, welcoming nurseries in and around Thamesmead. They are looking for reliable, warm-hearted Early Years Practitioners and Assistants to join their teams on a flexible basis, bringing a positive attitude to the floor every day.
You put a lot of heart into what you do, and you deserve a career that respects your personal time. Whether you need hours that fit around your family, your studies, or just want a better work-life balance, our supply network lets you choose exactly when and where you work.
Requirements Who We Are Looking For:We need approachable, hardworking staff who are ready to get involved from the moment they step into the room. We have roles available for two types of candidates:
1. Qualified Staff (Level 2 & Level 3):- You hold a full and relevant Early Years qualification (such as a Level 3 Early Years Educator, NVQ, CACHE, or NNEB).
(Just a quick heads-up: Teaching Assistant or Health & Social Care qualifications do not meet the statutory nursery ratios).
2. Experienced Unqualified Staff:- You might not have the official certificate yet, but you have real, recent experience working in a nursery setting. If you know the daily routine and love the environment, we would love to speak with you.
- The Right Attitude: A genuine care for children, reliability, and the enthusiasm to join in with daily activities.
- First Aid: Ideally, you will have a Full Paediatric First Aid (PFA) certificate. If you don't currently hold one, you just need to be willing to take the training to keep the children safe.
- Great Pay, Paid Weekly: Your hard work is worth every penny. You will earn between £12.75 and £14.50 an hour, and we pay you every Friday without fail.
- Work Close to Home: Keep your travel time short. We focus on finding you great shifts locally in SE28 and the surrounding areas so you aren't stuck on long commutes.
- Flexible Hours on Your Terms: You are in the driving seat. Want to work Monday to Friday? Great. Only free two mornings a week? That works perfectly too.
- £100 Refer-a-Friend Bonus: Good people know good people. If you bring a great colleague on board, we'll say thank you with a £100 bonus once they work their first 100 hours with us.
