Job Description

The Deputy Manager and SENCo will contribute to the management of the day-to-day operations of Preschool services to deliver high quality, inclusive, childcare, play and learning opportunities for children aged 1-4 years and to fulfil the role of named SENCo for the setting. Your responsibilities will be to work in partnership with the Early Years Lead Practitioner to create and retain a happy and committed staff team, lead them in the creation of a welcoming, stimulating, safe environment, which supports children's development and well-being, and help develop the foundations for children's future progress through school and life.

As a key member of the management team at the setting, you will work effectively with stakeholders and develop positive relationships with parents/carers.

The Package:

Hours: 32.5 hours per week, term time only (39 weeks per year)

Leave:28 days per annum (including public holidays) pro-rata

The Person We Are Looking For:

To succeed in this role, you will have an appropriate early years qualification at Level 3 or above. You will also have experience managing staff and leading teams in delivering the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum.

You will be a team player with strong leadership and communication skills and be able to build positive relationships with people from all backgrounds, including service users, parents, staff and delivery partners. Additionally, you will be able to demonstrate your knowledge and understanding of safeguarding, EYFS, Ofsted standards and relevant current legislation, as well as approaches for supporting children and young people with disabilities.
