As an Early Childhood Dance Teacher, you will be the first to introduce our youngest students (ages 3 to 6) to the world of performing arts. By leading structured and engaging sessions that support musicality, and confidence, you help build the skills and self-agency that are central to the school.The school & ENCOREFounded in 1924, the School of Geneva (Ecolint) is the world's first international school, with 4,500 students from 130 nations. We pride ourselves on a nurturing environment where students can develop their talents alongside their academic studies.Role and responsibilities- Design and deliver a year-long curriculum of movement sessions specifically tailored for early years (ages 3-6).- Lead warm-ups, guided movement, and simple choreography appropriate to the age group.- Maintain a calm, inclusive, and well-paced environment that fosters a positive learning experience.- Support the development of self-confidence in young learners.- Communicate with families and prepare students for informal sharings or end-of-year performances.- Uphold safeguarding procedures, and potentially contribute to on-call cover teaching within the ENCORE programme.We are looking forYou will thrive in this role if you possess:- Recognised training in early childhood or dance pedagogy (required).- Significant experience teaching dance to young children (ages 3 to 6) and a strong understanding of early years development.- Ability to lead structured, play-based sessions with clarity, consistency, and a strong classroom presence.- Fluency in English is required; the ability to teach in French is a distinct advantage.- A valid Swiss work permit or Swiss/EU personal status.- A confident and caring approach to working with very young children.- Organised and committed to consistency across the 32-week academic year.- Ability to build rapport quickly with students and work effectively with the ENCORE team.How to applyPlease apply online through our recruitment portal, including:- Resume- Cover letter- Contact details for three references (including your current or most recent employer)Applications must be submitted to the Head of ENCORE, School of Geneva.
