PROGRAM DATES

This position is designed for High School age students over the age of 16.

Hired candidates must be available on the following days to complete required training and set up: June 11th AND June 12th.

Summer Programming runs Monday to Friday from June 15, 2026 to August 27, 2026, with closures on June 19th & July 3rd.

Upon hiring, you must be aware of your daily availability, scheduled vacations, and if you have an end date before 8/27/2026.

QUALIFICATIONS DESIRED
  • 16 years of age or older
  • First Aid and CPR certification preferred; training provided for non certified staff
  • Two years of experience working with children, planning, organizing, and promoting programs (preferred)
  • Comfortable working with elementary aged children
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ability to work with elementary aged children
  • Personal dependability, initiative, and organization
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills
  • Assists in planning and overseeing appropriate activities for children
  • Supervises children in a positive manner
  • Makes appropriate decisions quickly
  • Knowledge of discipline policies and procedures

  • Maintains confidentiality
  • Follows work direction and communicates effectively with students, staff, and parents
  • Works in a busy setting with distractions and interruptions
  • Passion for mentoring, teaching, and engaging with youth
  • Regular and prompt attendance
  • Team player
  • Knowledge of developmental needs of youth
  • Serves as a liaison between Community Education programs and school staff and parents
  • Maintains a personal program of professional development in compliance with the quality assessment tool
TRAINING REQUIRED

First Aid and CPR certification if not currently held.
