E-Rostering & Workforce Analyst, GMS Band C

We are looking for an experienced and motivated E-Rostering & Workforce Analyst to join our evolving HR & OD team at Gloucestershire Managed Services (GMS). This is a key role supporting the effective deployment of approximately 800 colleagues across a multi-site NHS-supported environment.

This is more than a systems role, you will play a vital part in shaping how workforce decisions are made, improving efficiency, and supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality services.

Working in partnership with the NHS Trust under a Service Level Agreement (SLA), you will gain valuable exposure to wider system working while developing expertise in workforce systems, analytics and planning.

Main duties of the job
  • Manage and administer e-rostering and workforce systems, ensuring accurate and compliant staff data
  • Support managers with workforce planning, establishment reviews and roster optimisation
  • Produce and analyse workforce reports (e.g. absence, overtime, agency usage and staffing levels)
  • Ensure accurate and timely payroll data submission, working closely with Trust payroll teams
  • Support and maintain time and attendance systems (Loop/timeclocks)
  • Deliver training and guidance to managers and staff on system use and best practice
  • Act as the key link with NHS Trust system and payroll teams under SLA arrangements
  • Identify opportunities to improve workforce efficiency, reduce costs and enhance service delivery

Qualifications
  • Educated to Level 4/5 or equivalent experience
  • Relevant qualification in HR, workforce or data analytics
Experience
  • Experience of e-rostering or workforce systems
  • Experience of workforce reporting and data analysis
  • Experience supporting payroll processes or system interfaces
  • Experience within NHS or similar environment
  • Experience with Loop/time and attendance systems or ESR
Knowledge/ Skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Advanced Excel and reporting capability
  • Understanding of workforce planning and deployment
  • Knowledge of working time regulations
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

£32,370 to £39,623 a year (pa pro rata if part-time)
