E&I Service Technician- Shift role. (7 x 12-hour shifts every fortnight)

Kildare Large-Scale Advanced Manufacturing Site

We're hiring an Electrical & Instrumentation Technician/ Engineer to join a specialist engineering team supporting critical Life Safety & Hazardous Process Monitoring systems within one of Ireland's most advanced manufacturing environments. This is an onsite shift pattern role- mainly days but it does include some nights.

Flexibility is a key requirement for this role

This is an excellent opportunity for an Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation, Automation or Mechanical Engineer/Technician who enjoys hands on troubleshooting and wants to develop specialist expertise in gas detection and life safety systems.

What you'll be doing:
  • Preventative & corrective maintenance on fixed gas detection and Life Safety Systems
  • Fault-finding, testing, calibration and troubleshooting
  • Responding to system alarms and equipment faults
  • Supporting commissioning, upgrades and system improvements
  • Working closely with facilities, engineering, OEM and contractor teams
  • Maintaining technical, safety and compliance documentation
  • Supporting reliability and continuous improvement initiatives
What we're looking for:
  • Electrical, Electronic, Instrumentation, Automation or Mechanical qualification. This role could suit a trade-qualified electrician with practical instrumentation experience.
  • Strong hands-on fault-finding/troubleshooting ability
  • Experience in manufacturing, pharma, utilities, process or another industrial environment
  • Strong safety mindset and attention to detail
  • Full driving license

Highly desirable: Gas detection, instrumentation, controls, automation, semiconductor or highly regulated manufacturing experience.

You don't need previous semiconductor experience. If you have a strong technical background and enjoy diagnosing and solving equipment issues, we'd like to hear from you.
