DT Technician

We are currently recruiting for a Design Technology Technician to support a successful secondary school in Northwest Leeds. This is a full-time role starting ASAP, initially until the end of the academic year, with potential to continue. You will play a key role in supporting the DT department across KS3 and KS4, preparing materials, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe, organised workshop environment.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare tools, equipment, and materials for lessons
- Support staff and students during practical sessions
- Maintain and repair workshop machinery
- Ensure health & safety compliance at all times
- Manage stock and keep workspaces organised
- S1HS-S10HS machinery training (including wood, metal, and power tools)
- S11 - Health & Safety for site staff
- S12 - Health & Safety for D&T Technicians
- Experience in a workshop, technical, or school environment (desirable)
- Strong practical and organisational skills
- Good understanding of health & safety in a workshop setting
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain)
- Two professional references
