Driver - Weekends
Contracted to 15 hours per week
Shifts will be on Saturday and Sundays only
SPLIT SHIFTS working the following hours - Shift 1: 4.45am-7.15am Shift 2: 11.45am-2.15pm Shift 3: 3.45pm-6.15pm
Location: Thatcham Newbury - Must hold a D1 Licence
Before applying please ensure you are aware that these are split shifts, time between driving is your free time and unpaid. The minibus can't be taken home, we therefore recommend living within a radius of which you would be happy to travel home between driving shifts.
Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Estates team at Prior's Court to support the school to drive vehicles operated by Prior's Court Foundation on routes and times determined by the organisation.
This will involve a pick up/drop off service on an agreed route for staff of the foundation, arriving on time at the correct locations and bringing them to their place of employment promptly and reliably.
To perform the agreed vehicle checks on a regular basis
To carry out basic vehicle maintenance daily, including the replenishment of consumables such as windscreen wash or fuel, ensuring that the vehicle is roadworthy prior to each journey
To provide a friendly welcome and comfortable journey to new and current staff
To maintain logs for mileage and collections times as well as hours worked for payroll purposes
To ensure that the vehicle is left secure when unattended
Qualifications
Experience driving mid-size & large vehicles, Licence required
A current, clean driving licence without restrictions (Must have D1 Category Licence)
Good geographical knowledge of Basingstoke, Swindon, Oxford, Reading & Newbury

What pre-employment checks can I expect?
All offers of employment are subject to the successful completion of pre-employment checks. These include references, a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, proof of right to work in the UK, and any other relevant clearances.
How soon after being offered the role can I start?
All new staff will join our induction programme when they start at Prior's Court. You will be booked onto the induction once you have completed all pre-employment checks.
