Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Driver to join our Pharmacy team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving, with experience in delivery and a solid understanding of vehicle mechanics. This role is essential for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods while maintaining high standards of customer service and patient satisfaction.

Duties

• Operate vehicles safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies and delivering medicines.
• Deliver goods to designated locations in a timely manner, ensuring that all deliveries are completed accurately.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents that may occur during transit.
• Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues that may arise.
• Assist with loading and unloading goods, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
• Utilise flatbed vehicles when necessary for specific delivery requirements.
• Provide excellent customer service by representing the company professionally at all times.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driving licence with appropriate endorsements for the vehicle type being operated.
• Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar driving role is highly desirable.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
• Previous warehouse experience is an advantage, aiding in efficient loading and unloading processes.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers alike.
