Job Description

The successful candidate must possess
- a Full Irish/EU Category C (Rigid) Driving Licence.
- a fully to up to date valid Driver CPC Card
- a valid Digital Tachograph Card
It is desirable to hold an ADR licence and previous ADR experience.
Location:The depot is located in Enfield, Co. Kildare. The successful candidate will travel from the depot to customer quarries in surrounding area's.
Summary of Requirements:The safe loading, driving and operation of Pump and Box Trucks within specified limits and quality specification.
Main Duties and Responsibilities: Driving- Load pump and box trucks with their raw materials, including accessories. This requires use of a forklift truck.
- Carry out pre-delivery truck inspection daily as specified by your Manager.
- Carry out regular calibration checks.
- You will be required to operate this as a single driver, as required.
- Comply with the ADR driving regulations with regard to driver responsibility.
- Ensure all required paperwork accompanies the vehicle and is completed each evening and returned to the office.
- Unload / operate the truck at customer premises in accordance with procedures. This involves the delivering of products to the quarry bench top at one or more quarries in the course of a normal working day. Record operating parameters as required.
- Carry out Stemming of blast holes.
- Ensure all dispatch documentation accurately reflects goods delivered.
- Carry out instructions issued by your Manager.
- All Driver will be required to wash their vehicles on an as required basis.
- Comply with all company health, safety and security policies, procedures and statutory regulations and the wearing of appropriate PPE.
- Comply with customers' site rules.
- Comply with specified security requirements.
- Report all incidents and near misses to your Manager.
- Ensure a high level of cleanliness of the operating equipment and Kemex truck.
- Repair minor pump truck faults and carrying out basic maintenance.
- Ensure that all defects are reported in a timely manner and liaise with your Manager to ensure defects are corrected.
- Ensure the depot, grounds and equipment are kept in good repair and well maintained. Report any issues to your Manager.
- All employees will present themselves in a professional manner and wear a uniform as specified.
- Establish, maintain and develop good customer relationships.
- Report all incidents at any customer premises to your Manager.
