About the Opportunity
An established property services and maintenance contractor is seeking a qualified Electrician to join its growing team in Basildon. Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical repairs, maintenance, testing, inspection, and installation works.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with current BS7671 regulations.
- Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently and safely.
- Complete all work to a high standard, achieving first-time fix targets where possible.
- Accurately record job information using PDA/mobile technology.
- Comply with all Health & Safety policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
- Attend toolbox talks, team meetings, and technical briefings.
- Deliver excellent customer service when working within occupied properties.
- Manage materials effectively and complete work within agreed timescales.
- Work independently and as part of a wider maintenance team.
Essential Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence (held for a minimum of 12 months).
- Gold ECS Card or currently working towards obtaining one.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).
- Electrical Testing qualification(s). 2391
- Proven experience working within a similar electrical maintenance or installation role.
You Must Hold One of the Following Qualifications:
- Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Services (Electrical Installation - Buildings & Structures)
- Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electrotechnical Systems and Equipment
- City & Guilds 2360 Electrical Installation Theory and Practice Part 2
- Level 3 Certificate in Electrotechnical Technology
Desirable Experience
- Social housing maintenance.
- Responsive repairs and planned maintenance environments.
- Working within occupied residential properties.
- Strong knowledge of electrical fault-finding and testing procedures.
