About us
ECOLEC part of The Gas Company are a local business established for over 28 years working across the East Yorkshire and Humberside region we are an Established Mechanical and Electrical Buisness. Carrying out contracts for Local Authorities and housing associations as well as private landlords and private homeowners
The Gas Company / Ecolec are looking to recruit an Electrician to further strengthen our team . You will be covering the East Riding of Yorkshire Area predominantly but could be required to take part in contracts throughout the UK should the opportunity arise.
What your role will be
As an Electrician focused on our general domestic works, you will work on both void and tenanted properties carrying out general electrical repairs, testing and inspection works, and installations / Rewires / Ventilation Upgrades as well as being part of our growing renewables team installing Solar PV Systems and EV point installations on our domestic housing contracts. Your main duties will include fixed wire testing of properties, 1st and 2nd fix installation work, consumer unit changes, electrical rewires, wiring upgrades, minor works repairs as required, emergency lighting, fault findind.
Working in partnership with our growing Gas and Heating side, you will be responsible for ensuring all works are carried out on time and within the company policies and procedures with regards to Health & Safety and maintenance.
You will form part of the out of hour's on-call rota and for this you will receive a fixed payment and an additional enhanced hourly pay for the duration of the call-out.
Your working hours will be Monday to Friday, 8am - 4.30pm with a 1/2 hour lunch break.
Your background
This is a highly technical and important role and therefore there is some criteria that you will need to be able to meet in order for us to progress your application further. You will need to demonstrate in your CV that you possess:
Essential
NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent qualification) in Electrical Installation
City and Guilds th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations BS7671
AM2 and JIB card is a MUST
Experience of testing & carrying out periodic inspections
Experience and/or knowledge of working in domestic properties
An understanding of the importance of health and safety in the work place
Positive approach to engaging with customers
A full and current UK driving licence
Desirable
2391 Inspection and Testing would be extremely advantageous.
