Job Title: Domestic Assistant/Ancillary Assistant

Location: Priory Court Nursing Home

Hours: 30 hours per week

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

About the Role

Priory Court Nursing Home is looking for a reliable and hardworking Ancillary Assistant / Domestic Assistant to join our friendly team. This is a varied role supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the home, helping to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents.

Shift Pattern

• Tuesday & Wednesday: Laundry Assistant (8:00am - 4:00pm)
• Friday: Domestic/Home Cleaning (8:00am - 4:00pm)

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning duties to a high standard across the home
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in kitchen areas (in line with food safety standards)
• Wash, dry, and organise residents' laundry with care and attention
• Ensure all communal and private areas are clean, tidy, and welcoming
• Follow health & safety and infection control procedures at all times
• Work as part of a team to support residents' wellbeing and comfort

About You

• Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, punctual, and committed
• A caring nature and respect for elderly residents
