# Domestic AssistantBira Care HomesCefn LodgePart time 23£12.81 per hour About the role About the roleYou'll keep the care home maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene - creating a safe, welcoming and comfortable environment for residents, staff and visitors. What you'll do Clean residents' rooms and communal areas to a high standard, always respecting residents' privacy, preferences and dignity. Support a homely, respectful and welcoming environment. Follow cleaning schedules, COSHH regulations and infection control protocols, using cleaning products and equipment safely and in line with training. Maintain cleanliness across bedrooms, lounges, bathrooms and kitchens, and assist with deep cleaning as part of regular infection control. Dispose of waste in line with infection control procedures. Report maintenance issues or hazards promptly, and work collaboratively with colleagues to meet residents' needs. Complete required training including infection control and health & safety, and take part in supervisions and team meetings. What you'll need Understanding of the importance of cleanliness and infection control Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team A respectful, reliable and compassionate attitude Attention to detail and high standards of hygiene Enhanced DBS check and the right to work in the UK Desirable Previous experience in a cleaning or domestic role Knowledge of COSHH and infection control in care settings Experience working in a care home or similar environment Why Bira Make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people we support, every day.
