Salary - £28,000 - £31,000 (depending on interview performance & experience)

We are currently offering the opportunity for a scientist to join an innovative biotechnology company based in Cambridge. Our client is seeking a new hard-working individual to join their analytical development team.
This is the perfect opportunity for an individual with prior experience in analytical development, capillary gel electrophoresis (CGE), or HPLC.
Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK.
The Role
As a scientist within the analytics team, you will be responsible for:
- Developing analytical methods to characterise enzymes which function as raw materials for DNA synthesis,
- Assessing enzymatic activity using techniques such as gel electrophoresis, ELISA, and PCR / qPCR,
- Developing new analytical methods for nucleic acids and proteins.
Current / Recent Experience Required:
- A BSc or MSc in either a molecular biology-related degree or in a chemistry-related degree.
- Independent hands-on experience working with HPLC or CGE.
- Expertise in analytical techniques for nucleic acids - e.g. Nanodrop, Qubit, electrophoresis, sequencing.
- Prior R&D experience working within analytics / analytical development - DNA / proteins.
Profile Required:
- Existing UK work eligibility (essential).
- Happy to commute / relocate to Cambridge (essential).
