Eton Bridge Partners have exclusively partnered with a PE-backed multi-site B2B services business who are looking to appoint a Divisional Finance Director to lead its finance function within a complex, operationally driven environment.
This is a senior leadership role with broad responsibility across commercial finance, business partnering, and performance management. The successful candidate will work closely with the Managing Director and wider leadership team, and report directly into the Group CFO. The role offers significant opportunity to influence strategy, improve performance, and support ongoing transformation within a fast-paced and evolving business.
The Role- Act as a key partner to the divisional leadership team, supporting the development and delivery of the business plan
- Take full ownership of the divisional P&L and balance sheet, with accountability for financial performance, returns, and cash generation
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance management cycles, providing clear insight into key drivers, risks, and opportunities
- Translate operational and commercial activity into high quality, decision ready financial insight
- Drive strong cash generation and disciplined working capital management, ensuring effective conversion of profit into cash
- Support growth initiatives through robust commercial analysis, pricing support, investment appraisal, and performance tracking
- Partner with operational and commercial teams to enhance margins, improve decision-making, and optimise financial performance
- Lead and develop a high-performing divisional finance team aligned to a strong commercial agenda
- Support potential M&A activity and integration work as required
- Proven experience as a Finance Director, Divisional Finance Director, or equivalent senior finance leader in a complex, multi-site operational business
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with strong technical accounting and financial control capability
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to influence operational decision-making and drive profitability and growth
- Demonstrable ownership of full P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow responsibility
- Experience leading budgeting, forecasting, and performance management in a fast-paced environment
- Background in an asset-intensive or operationally driven sector such as infrastructure services, industrial services, logistics, engineering, manufacturing, or similar B2B environments
- Strong understanding of operational drivers and unit economics, with the ability to convert operational activity into meaningful financial insight
- Proven leadership of finance teams, with a track record of developing capability and performance
- Hands on and pragmatic approach, with credibility as both a strategic partner and operationally engaged finance leader
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence, challenge, and support senior leadership
- Comfortable operating in a dynamic, growth oriented, and evolving organisation, balancing strategic focus with a willingness to be directly involved in execution
- Experience of transformation programmes, including systems, process improvement, automation, or organisational change, is advantageous
- Experience in a private equity backed environment is beneficial but not essential
