Distribution Shift Manager

Salary: £46,792 plus a great range of benefits.

Hours: 40 hours per week - shift pattern Tuesday to Saturday, Portbury.

Overview

As a Distribution Shift Manager at Brakes, you will lead the overall success of your shift, ensuring all transport standards, budgets, and targets are met. You will manage a team of 170 people, keep them motivated and engaged, and coordinate activities across the office and multi temperature warehouse environment.

Responsibilities
  • Lead overall shift operations, ensuring a high level of performance and meeting transport standards and budget targets.
  • Manage a team of 170 employees, motivating, engaging, and ensuring task completion and personal development.
  • Monitor warehouse operations, transport cost budgets, and location of cages to maintain efficient delivery.
  • Course correct plans based on changing information and data insights.
  • Drive performance using data insights, trends, and team input to improve processes and deliver customer focused solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with DVLA regulations that impact drivers and transport operations.
  • Influence stakeholders to see the bigger picture and foster a culture of two way feedback.
  • Use Microsoft Office, SAP, and transport systems such as Verizon, Convey, Roadnet, and Samsara.
Qualifications
  • Experience leading a large team with a focus on driving performance.
  • Strong data driven decision making skills with the ability to use insights and trends.
  • Knowledge of DVLA regulations that may impact drivers.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and change leadership skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP and transport systems (Verizon, Convey, Roadnet, Samsara).
  • CPC certification or willingness to acquire CPC within your first year.
