You will play a pivotal role in empowering the distribution sales channel, providing data-driven insights that fuel strategic decision-making and drive business growth. By developing and implementing comprehensive reporting solutions, you'll directly impact the success of the channel partners and contribute to the overall performance of the distribution business.
As a Distribution Channel Support Specialist, you will:
- Identify and acquire essential data sources, both internal and external, to ensure comprehensive data coverage for tracking distribution business performance.
- Develop, implement, and maintain reports that offer actionable insights to the distribution channel team on a recurring and ad-hoc basis, focusing on scalable and automated solutions.
- Identify and resolve information gaps, inconsistencies, and inaccuracies in existing data systems, developing effective strategies for improvement.
- Utilize tools like Looker and other data visualization platforms to extract, visualize, and present data effectively, creating strong connections between different data sources.
- Design automated solutions to maximize process efficiency and simplification, ensuring scalability and ease of use.
Must-Have Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Expertise in SQL, Looker, and other data analysis tools. Proficiency in tools such as Google Sheets, Google Data Studio, and Google BigQuery is also essential.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze complex datasets, identify patterns, trends, and extract actionable insights.
- Proven problem-solving aptitude, including the ability to create solutions from scratch and address information gaps creatively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, enabling clear and concise conveyance of complex data insights to stakeholders at all levels.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience supporting demand, product, sales, or distribution channel teams in a similar role.
- Familiarity with the distribution sales business landscape and associated analytical processes.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and perform well under pressure.
