Disrepair Litigation Solicitor / Legal Executive

We're working with a well-established association to find an experienced Housing Disrepair Solicitor or Legal Executive to join their legal team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is confident handling a full caseload of disrepair claims and providing practical, commercial advice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage incoming letters of claim, including acknowledging them and liaising with internal teams
• Prepare and submit Section 6.2 responses under the Pre-Action Protocol for Housing Disrepair
• Gather and review evidence to assess each claim effectively
• Provide clear legal advice to clients on whether to defend or settle claims
• Handle and negotiatecosts where applicable
• Take ownership of cases through the early stages of litigation

Candidate Requirements:

• Deep expertise in housing disrepair claims
• Legally qualified to manage cases through the court process independently (not just supporting)
• Local and able to attend court as required
• Authorised to conduct litigation, either a solicitor or a CILEx-qualified legal executive
• Able to hit the ground running with an existing caseload
