Discretionary Support Caseworker - Financial Benefits

Sunderland City Council's Financial Assessments and Benefits Service is seeking Caseworkers on a 2-year fixed-term, full-time basis. You will assess and process applications for Crisis and Resilience Fund - Housing Payments, Crisis Payments, Local Welfare Provision, and other discretionary support schemes, ensuring decisions are fair and aligned with policy.

You will manage your own caseload, provide advice, maintain records, and work with partners to secure positive outcomes for residents.
