Director, Surgical Vision Equipment Portfolio, GSM
OverviewThe Director, Surgical Vision Equipment Portfolio, GSM will lead the development and execution of the global marketing strategy for the surgical vision equipment, digital and accessories portfolio to drive short and long term growth. Responsibilities include portfolio planning, market research, new product launches, multi channel marketing, and brand stewardship.

Responsibilities- Develop and execute a 10 year strategic plan for cataract and refractive equipment portfolios, integrating R&D innovation and financial plans.
- Lead portfolio strategy, positioning, channel, pricing and lifecycle management.
- Guide clinical claims and evidence strategy and collaborate with clinical stakeholders.
- Create product messaging, sales aids, KOL speaker decks, and launch plans.
- Direct market research, competitor analysis, forecast preparation and recommendations.
- Collaborate on industry engagement, advisory boards, competitive rebuttals and voice of customer initiatives.
- Build and lead a high performing team, providing coaching, performance management, talent acquisition and leadership pipeline development.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Minimum 10 years of business or work experience in health care marketing.
- Proven success in product innovation and commercialization.
- Strong strategic marketing fundamentals: positioning, claims, advertising judgment, customer insights.
- Cross functional leadership and ability to influence across regions without direct authority.
- Experience engaging diverse customers: patients, surgeons, Key Opinion Leaders, distributors, investors.
- Experience leading marketing agencies.
- Up to 30 % domestic and international travel may be required.
- Preferred: prior medical device or ophthalmology marketing experience; master's degree in business or related discipline; finance planning experience; ophthalmology knowledge; hardware/software product management; portfolio branding experience.
