Job Description
Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and execution of the global marketing strategy for the surgical vision equipment, digital, and accessories portfolio to drive short and long term growth.
  • Plan and oversee critical processes related to business planning, strategic marketing plans, portfolio management and development, market research, new product launches, business performance tracking, multi channel marketing, and brand stewardship.
  • Lead global portfolio strategy, positioning, channel, pricing, and lifecycle management.
  • Lead clinical claims and evidence strategy and work with professional education and clinical teams to deliver key messages.
  • Design recommendations for global branding, positioning, and pricing strategies that deliver value.
  • Manage complex customer and competitor analyses in the areas of product preferences, potentials, sales coverage, market size, marketing practices, and trends, and prepare forecasts and recommendations.
  • Lead efforts in industry and society engagement strategy, VOC, user meetings, advisory board, competitive rebuttals, etc.
  • Provide leadership and vision for brands in development, and leverage opportunities with regional partners, customers, Johnson & Johnson brands, and alliances.
  • Oversee performance management of team members and talent development.
Requirements
  • Minimum of a bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 10 years work/business experience.
  • Health care experience.
  • Marketing leadership experience.
  • Proven track record of developing talent with positive leadership characteristics.
  • Experience and successful track record leading product innovation and successful commercialization.
  • Strong strategic marketing fundamentals including positioning, claims, advertising judgment, and customer insights.
  • Strong cross functional leadership, ability to set vision and inspire a cross functional team.
  • Strong servant leader characteristics and mindset, ability to influence cross functionally and across regions without direct authority.
  • Ability to interact with a variety of customers - patients, surgeons, Key Opinion Leaders, distributors, and investors/start up organizations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead marketing agencies and inspire strong output.
  • Up to 30% domestic and international travel may be required.
  • Prior Medical Device and/or ophthalmology marketing experience is preferred.
  • Master's degree in business (or related discipline) is highly preferred.
  • Finance planning experience is preferred.
  • Ophthalmology industry knowledge is preferred.
  • Hardware and software product management skills are preferred.
  • Portfolio branding experience is preferred.
