General Summary: Qualcomm is hiring a Product Marketing Director. This can be a remote role and we are open on the location in Europe.
Qualcomm is a leading supplier of integrated Bluetooth audio chips to the personal audio market which forms a key segment of Qualcomm's Voice and Music business unit. This fast growing segment is increasingly important to the overall phone experience and is of strategic importance. The successful individual will be responsible for APAC, China.
ResponsibilitiesWorks with: Marketing and product management teams within Voice and Music business; GM of Voice and Music business; Other Qualcomm divisions including mobile and mobile connectivity; Engineering teams
Acting as lead contact for some key customers from the Business Unit, working with our sales team to ensure the account continues to deliver revenue and margin growth for Qualcomm
Working with our Head of Personal Audio Marketing to ensure the Business has a clear marketing strategy that:
Provides a credible route to revenue and margin growth
Is backed by clear financial modelling
Is supported by the product roadmap (working in conjunction with the product management team)
Fits with the wider strategic plan for the Voice and Music business and Qualcomm overall.
Ensuring clear market input and requirements are provided to the product management team
Helping to ensure business priorities are aligned with the needs of the Personal Audio segment
Working with Product management teams to set Qualcomm's positioning within the market and helping with specific positioning at key customers
Working with the wider marketing team and product management teams to ensure we have successful new product introductions to the market
Working with the sales regions to ensure the sales pipeline is sufficient to drive the expected growth and strategic direction of the business
A proven track record of driving a marketing team to deliver sustained revenue and margin growth
Experience of the silicon industry and/or audio market (ideally both)
Experience working within large matrixed organisations being comfortable achieving results via influence rather than direct line control
Explicit formal training in business such as an MBA
Successfully managed small teams. This role is as an individual contributor but has potential to grow to include line management
Experience with embedded system design targeting consumer products
Experience and knowledge within APAC, China
Degree in electronics, computer science or similar technical subject, preferably at Masters level or above

• Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of Product Marketing, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related work experience.
OR
Associate's degree or equivalent degree and 10+ years of Product Marketing, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related work experience.
OR
High school Diploma or equivalent and 12+ years of Product Marketing, Marketing, Business, Engineering, Communications, or related work experience.
Completed advanced degrees in a relevant field may be substituted for up to two years (Master's = one year, Doctorate = two years) of work experience.
