Director of Nursing

We are hiring a Director of Nursing for a leading Nursing home in Dublin, Ireland.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day management and operations of the nursing home.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, person-centred care.
• Ensure compliance with HIQA standards, regulations, and statutory requirements.
• Promote and maintain a safe environment by overseeing Health & Safety policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Candidates must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI)
• Previous experience in carrying on the business of a designated centre is essential
• Relevant qualifications and accredited training with supporting documentary evidence required
• Excellent clinical, leadership, and organisational skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Sound decision-making ability
• Minimum 3 years' experience in a nurse management role
• Minimum 3 years' experience nursing older persons within the previous 6 years
• Level 8 qualification in Healthcare Management, or Level 9 qualification with a management module in progress or completed by 2028, in line with updated Health Act requirements
• Candidates must have at least 3 years' experience at management level
• €1,000 non-discretionary end-of-year bonus
