Director of IT Services

Dulwich College is a world-renowned independent boys' school educating 1,700 pupils aged 7-18, alongside DUCKS, our co-educational kindergarten and infants' school of 230 children. We are proud of our tradition of academic excellence, our vibrant co-curricular life and our strong social mission: to provide an outstanding education to all who qualify, regardless of background.

We are seeking an exceptional Director of IT Services to lead and shape the College's technology provision at a pivotal and ambitious time. This is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategic direction, resilience and future proofing of all IT systems across the College.

The successful candidate will play a central role in developing and delivering the College's IT strategy, ensuring that infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud services and digital platforms operate to the highest standards of availability, security and performance. Working closely with the Director of Digital Transformation and the wider leadership team, you will help drive innovation in teaching and learning while ensuring robust, reliable operational systems.

You will lead and develop a skilled IT services team, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement. Alongside managing budgets, suppliers and system lifecycles, you will act as the College lead for cyber compliance and external assurance, including Cyber Essentials. A key part of the role is building strong relationships across the community, supporting staff, pupils and parents with a responsive, solutions-focused service.

We are looking for a strategic and technically accomplished IT leader with significant senior level experience in a complex organisation. You will bring deep expertise in infrastructure, cloud technologies, cybersecurity and service management, combined with excellent communication skills and the confidence to work with senior stakeholders. A hands on, pragmatic approach and a commitment to service excellence are essential.
