We're now looking for a Director of Distribution to take accountability for how our Homes propositions are distributed, experienced and delivered across intermediary, (Accord and YBS Commercial) direct (YBS mortgage advice) and emerging channels.
This is a high profile leadership role, combining strategy ownership with hands on execution, and sitting at the heart of our Homes leadership team.
About the RoleAs Director of Distribution, you'll lead our end to end Homes distribution strategy shaping how brokers and customers access our products, how partners experience working with us, and how customer journeys are designed and delivered from onboarding through to ongoing service and resolution.
This is not just a channel leadership role. You will own customer experience design and delivery standards across Homes, ensuring consistency, quality and regulatory confidence at scale.
You'll be a visible leader internally and externally, working closely with brokers, intermediaries, partners and senior stakeholders to position YBS as a partner of choice in the market.
Key Accountabilities:The Director of Distribution will shape and deliver the endtoend distribution strategy for Homes across Yorkshire Building Society's brands. This includes leading the direct to consumer strategy for YBS, alongside responsibility for intermediary distribution through Accord Mortgages and YBS Commercial. The role sets clear direction across direct, broker and emerging channels to maximise reach, sustainable growth and customer outcomes, while leading largescale operational delivery across distribution and associated servicing functions. Accountability spans performance management, operational resilience and continuous improvement across all in scope teams.
A core part of the role is governing and evolving YBS's broker and intermediary proposition. This includes shaping network strategy, building senior strategic relationships, negotiating commercial arrangements and ensuring Accord and YBS Commercial are positioned as high quality, reliable partners of choice. Working closely with Digital Channels and operational leaders, the Director will also drive the development of seamless, compliant and differentiated customer journeys across both digital and assisted channels, with clear standards for onboarding, servicing, retention and complaint resolution embedded consistently across brands.
The Director of Distribution will lead the development of strategic partnerships and alliances across the wider ecosystem, including brokers, fintechs and other market partners, identifying opportunities that enhance YBS's proposition, market presence and innovation agenda. Decision making will be grounded in robust analysis of channel and partner performance, using data and management information to drive accountability, commercial performance and customer value.
The role is a senior external leadership position for the Society. The Director will be a visible, credible and influential presence in the market, representing YBS, Accord and YBS Commercial with brokers, partners, regulators and wider stakeholders, and helping to shape market debate where appropriate. Internally, the role champions strong governance and regulatory compliance across all distribution and partnership activity, ensuring Consumer Duty, conduct risk and product approval standards are fully embedded and evidenced. The Director will sponsor transformation and change across distribution and servicing, and inspire and lead a high performing, inclusive leadership team with a strong customer and delivery focus.
About YouKey experience we're looking to see includes:
- Boardlevel leadership of multi channel mortgage distribution, spanning intermediary, direct and emerging channels.
- Proven experience shaping and governing broker and intermediary networks, including commercial negotiation and partner positioning.
- Clear ownership of end to end customer journeys, delivered at scale across onboarding, servicing, retention and complaints.
- A strong operational leadership background, with experience leading large teams through performance management, resilience and continuous improvement.
- Experience developing and leading strategic partnerships and ecosystems, including digital and thirdparty relationships.
You'll be comfortable balancing strategic thinking with hands on execution, and bringing clarity, pace and accountability in a complex, regulated environment.
