Main duties of the job

As Director of Care and Quality, you will lead a diverse,dedicated team of clinicians, allied healthcare professionals, counsellors andtherapists. We would look to you to develop the services that ellenor providesand utilise the new premises to its maximum capacity for those in our care andour local community.

We are ellenor, a hospice charity, providing vitalsupport to patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses in North Kentand Bexley.

At ellenor, we embrace life, offering support from themoment of diagnosis and beyond.

Our full range of services is available for children, youngpeople and their families living in Gravesend, Dartford and Swanley. We alsoprovide children's respite and wellbeing services within Bexley. The demand forour services is set to increase significantly, yet we remain dedicated toproviding essential care and support when it matters most.

Job responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of care strategies that ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety
  • Monitor and evaluate care quality metrics and performance indicators, driving continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to develop and implement best practices in care delivery and patient support
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and organisational policies, and manage the audit processes to maintain regulatory standards
  • Cultivate a culture of excellence and accountability in care delivery through effective leadership and staff development
  • Work with the Chief Executive, to play a key role in relationship building with NHS commissioners, the ICB, Local Place Based commissioners within the Local Authorities and other statutory bodies, actively seeking opportunities for developing services in line with the Strategy
Person Specification Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration
