tonies is the globally leading interactive audio platform for children with more than 10 million Tonieboxes and 125 million Tonies sold. The intuitive and award winning audio system has changed the way young children play and learn independently with its child safe, wireless, and screen free approach. Tonieboxes have been activated in over 100 countries, the content portfolio includes around 1,400 Tonies in several languages. Since its inception, tonies has achieved significant milestones, including listing on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange in November 2021 and a globally present team of over 550 dedicated professionals working from various countries.

What we are looking for:
  • Proven ERP Transformation Success: Extensive, hands on experience leading large scale ERP implementations/migrations ($300M+ organizations), with a strong preference for SAP S/4HANA Cloud or comparable modern ERP systems.
  • Global Scaling Expertise: Demonstrated ability to build and manage high performing, globally distributed IT teams and support structures in a multi entity, international business environment.
  • Enabling Leadership: Experience building support models and processes that balance agility and business needs with the need for security and operational stability, moving the organization toward best practices.
  • Business Acumen: Deep understanding of the core processes in a consumer electronics/media business (e.g., Order to Cash, Procure to Pay, Record to Report).
  • Excellent Communication: A track record of successfully influencing and communicating complex technical and organizational topics to the C suite and business stakeholders.
  • Location: Candidates must be currently located in Germany (Düsseldorf / Berlin) and open to a hybrid work policy with 2 3 days per week in the office.

We are seeking a transformational leader to join tonies as Director, Global Enterprise Applications. Reporting directly to the CIO, you will be instrumental in reshaping our technology landscape, scaling our capabilities globally, and driving the successful migration from Microsoft Business Central to SAP S/4HANA Cloud. This is a career defining opportunity to build a modern, high performing global application function from the ground up and influence how our technology supports growth, scalability, and operational excellence.

Your tasks and responsibilities will include:
  • Lead the SAP S/4HANA Transformation: Own the successful execution, deployment, and post go live support of our global ERP implementation, standardizing processes across all legal entities.
  • Build a Global Application Function: Establish the organizational structure, talent, and sustainable operating model for a world class, global Enterprise Applications department, balancing internal capabilities with external expertise.
  • Define and Execute the Application Strategy: Develop the roadmap for our core business applications, including our CRM platforms potentially, ensuring they align with our expansion and new product initiatives.
  • Drive Commercial Integration: Ensure seamless, robust, and scalable integration between the core ERP system and our customer facing systems, particularly our Global E Commerce Platform, to enable aggressive sales expansion.
  • Professionalize Operations through Partnership: Build and implement pragmatic governance and support structures that enable operational excellence and stability while acting as a trusted, enabling partner to the business; oversee system lifecycle management, manage vendor relationships including SAP and key implementation partners, drive process standardization across Finance, Supply Chain, and Sales, and take responsibility for related budget planning.
