Lady in her mid 50s requires a Personal Assistant for 8 hours per week to assist her to socialise in the community. Following a brain injury lady has communication issues and struggles with some words.
She is able to walk but has a weakness on her right side.
Requires someone who could take her out and about, either for a walk or into town. Possibly using public transport with a view to getting back out into society.
She has very little understanding of money so would need someone to show kindness, patience, be trustworthy and understanding.
In addition lady does not have any road safety awareness.
DBS/Reference checks will be required for this post - Cost to be met by the local authority.
The Direct Payments Support Service is an in-house service provided by the East Riding of Yorkshire Council. The service promotes independent choice and inclusion, allowing our service users to employ their own care and support as needed. We support many individuals with varying abilities, assisting with advertising and recruitment for a range of roles including support workers, carers and personal assistants.
