We are looking to recruit a hardworking, enthusiastic individual to join our Catering Team based in the Dining Room at Fieldhead Hospital. 30 hours per week, Monday Friday.
Staff uniform will be provided.
About the roleProvide a safe, nutritious, and exciting meal service to service users, staff and visitors. Participate in the preparation of functions and special events. Work as part of a fast paced team, using initiative to prioritise and organise daily duties. Ensure compliance with NHS cleaning standards.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and cook mouth watering dishes using fresh ingredients to required standards.
- Prepare meals for patients, staff, and visitors, adhering to Food Hygiene General Regulations 1995 and the HACCP system.
- Collaborate with the team to develop catering services and support other duties within the department.
- Assist in functions and special events, delivering efficient service for meetings, lunches and functions.
- Handle cash and clear the dining room after meals, observing health and safety regulations.
- Maintain hygiene standards, work with cleaning schedules and procedures.
- Flexible attitude to working arrangements.
- Friendly outgoing personality.
- Available to work in different locations.
- Ability to undertake duties and demands of the post and maintain a satisfactory sickness record.
- Ability to work as a team member and use own initiative.
- Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise workload.
- Effective communication with colleagues, staff, and patients.
- Working knowledge of HACCP system.
- Demonstrable catering experience.
- Experience of team working.
- Experience of dealing with customers.
- Experience in till operation.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in catering (or agreement to work towards).
- Level 3 Food Hygiene Certificate or working towards.
