Diagnostic Vehicle Technician / Master Technician

Location: Maidenhead

Salary: £37,000 - £38,000 Basic Salary OTE £45,000

We're looking for a highly skilled Diagnostic Technician to join a busy Main Car Dealership. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys fault-finding, complex diagnostics, and working with the latest vehicle technology. If you're a Master Technician or have advanced diagnostic skills, a higher salary will be considered for the right candidate.

The Role

As a Diagnostic Vehicle Technician, you'll be the workshop's technical specialist, diagnosing complex faults and ensuring repairs are completed efficiently and to manufacturer standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Diagnosing complex mechanical, electrical, and electronic vehicle faults
  • Using manufacturer diagnostic equipment to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs to the highest standard
  • Supporting workshop technicians with technical guidance and complex fault diagnosis
  • Completing vehicle health checks and inspections
  • Ensuring all work complies with manufacturer specifications and safety standards
  • Accurately completing job cards and workshop documentation
  • Working efficiently to achieve productivity and quality targets
About You

To be considered for this role, you will ideally have:

  • NVQ Level 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (or equivalent)
  • Extensive experience as a Diagnostic Technician, Diagnostic Vehicle Technician, or Master Technician
  • Exceptional fault-finding and diagnostic skills
  • Experience using manufacturer diagnostic equipment
  • Mazda or Honda experience would be highly desirable, although other manufacturer backgrounds will be considered
  • MOT Licence beneficial but not essential
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • A positive, team-focused attitude and commitment to delivering first-time fixes
