DevOps Coach Expert (Test Oriented)/Belgium/700 Euros per day

Excellent 12 month + contract mission for a French or Dutch speaking DevOps Coach with Testing experience.

6 + years' experience in a large IT organisation required.

Function Description:

Setup the IT organisation in a way that gives product development teams the maximum level of autonomy for developing, testing, and deploying applications.

As DevOps coach you will:

Help the product development teams to adopt best practices for developing, testing, deploying, and releasing applications.

Improve deliverables of the team by training, and assisting to analyse current situations, helping tbuild a plan choosing improvement from following services:

• Software craftsmanship
• BDD/TDD
• CI/CD
• Agile Testing
• Trunk base development
• Cloud, Kubernetes & Containerisation
• Work together with the squads of the tribe and other DevOps squad coaches to improve the way of working:
• Help to identify and fix key pain points in the process.
• Facilitate the relationship with the tool's teams. Help the tool(s) team to understand what the development teams need.
• Help the development team use the tools available to them in the correct way.
• Best practices, technics around the testing is key for this mission

Languages

• Very good knowledge of English, knowledge of French and/or Dutch is mandatory for interactions with clients, co-workers, and external partners.

Required knowledge/Experience:

• A strong development profile combined with a proven coaching experience, good understanding of the SDLC
• Knowledge on testing technics/practice such as TDD/BDD is mandatory
• Proficient with CI/CD processes and best practices
• Experience with testing tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Karate
• Proven knowledge of cloud technologies (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Thorough experience working in or with Agile development teams
• Experience in the different Agile frameworks
• Experience in Impact mapping, story mapping, example mapping

Experience in different Software development models:

• Experience in the administration, setup and maintenance of continuous build and integration platforms
• Experience in Java development and build
• Experience with source code (Git) and artefact repositories (Nexus)
• Experience with Scripting languages for automation
• Knowledge of banking/insurance sector is an asset
