Job Description
At Elk Recruitment, we are looking for a driven Development Manager to join our client's growing team based in Kildare. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Development Manager to make a real impact in an innovative and growing organization.
Responsibilities- Conducting property and project specific research and due diligence
- Preparation of development appraisals and cashflows
- Reviewing design drawings and challenging strategies
- Managing and co-ordination of planning applications
- Assisting with professional appointment process and management design teams
- Oversee the co-ordination of design information including drawings and specifications
- Oversee all statutory approvals for projects
- Management of project stakeholders including third parties such as local authorities
- Assisting with drafting and administration of build contracts and other legal documents
- Assisting with drafting and implementation of development plan
- Assisting development manager with project reporting and programming
- Managing project funding applications and costs
- Assisting the company in bringing in new systems and practices to improve productivity, profitability, quality, and overall performance
- Assisting with risk planning and management
- Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and precision in setting out and measurements.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues on-site and provide effective solutions.
- Organisational Skills: Strong planning and organizational abilities, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and the use of surveying equipment.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including subcontractors, engineers, and project managers.
- Adaptability: Flexible approach to work, capable of adjusting to project demands and challenges.
- Background in construction management, quantity surveying, engineering, or related field
- Previous experience in a related field advantageous
- Proficient in Microsoft office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook
- Experience with Microsoft Project planning software
- Project appraisal software, e.g. Argus/Estate Master
- Excellent communication and report writing skills
- Detail orientated and highly organised
- Excellent problem-solving skills and in the development of design solutions
- Self-motivated and ambitious
