Are you ready to take on a high-profile role shaping the structural delivery of one of the UK's most ambitious Data Centre projects?

At Laing O'Rourke, we're looking for a Design Manager to lead on structural packages, ensuring technical excellence, compliance, and buildability on this flagship scheme.

What you'll be doing

  • Managing structural design packages from early engagement through to handover

  • Leading reviews, resolving technical queries, and ensuring statutory compliance

  • Optimising designs for buildability, sustainability, and safety

  • Collaborating with architects, engineers, and specialist contractors

  • Supporting site delivery teams with technical excellence and assurance

What you'll bring

  • Degree (or equivalent) in Structural/Civil Engineering or related discipline

  • 5+ years' design management experience, ideally chartered or working towards

  • Proven track record of managing structural packages on major projects

  • Ability to work collaboratively, influence stakeholders, and manage design risk

  • Flexibility and drive to thrive in a data-led, fast-moving sector
