Where will you be working?
At M Group Highways, we're supporting the safe transportation and movement of people across the UK.

You'll be joining our Highways maintenance team, as the UK's number one highway maintenance contractor, our teams use the latest innovations to create effective solutions. We offer a range of services including planned and reactive maintenance and highway improvement schemes.

What will you be doing?
Produce design packages, reports and other deliverables to achieve project outcomes;
Organise and undertake site visits and surveys
Deliver successful projects to agreed time and cost expectations whilst ensuring work is undertaken in compliance with internal quality standards and processes;
Ensure work is undertaken in compliance with Health & Safety and Environmental legislation
Resource planning and co-ordination of multi disciplinary teams, including sub consultants;
Staff and people management including training and development and staff performance reviews;
Working collaboratively with customers to understand and develop project objectives and deliverables;
Managing, building and developing customer relationships.
What you'll bring
Civil Engineering degree or equivalent or evidence of experience in the highways sector (6 years minimum)
Incorporated Engineer or highly experienced engineer working towards IEng / CEng;
Design and construction experience in the highways sector
A commercial awareness in the delivery of projects
Awareness / experience of Local Highway Authority standards
Evidence of developing assistant engineers, graduates and technicians
Working knowledge of programming tools such as ASTA
Evidence of managing Health & Safety & Environment in design and construction
Working knowledge of AutoCAD and other design software including for drainage, alignment and traffic signs desirable.
Computer literate particularly with packages such as Microsoft Excel and Word
UK/EEC driving licence
