Design Engineer

What you will do

The Design Engineer will be working as part of the Nu-Form Fire UK Projects Team in a supporting role to the Project Managers and Senior Designers.

As a Design Engineer you will report to the Directors and Project Managers. The role includes specific focus on AutoCAD design services (node drawings, labels, signage etc, no industry design knowledge required), project support documentation (generation of purchase orders, Health & Safety paperwork) and general office administrative duties which will vary day to day.

As a Design Engineer you will be liaising with multiple internal and external departments to offer solutions and resolutions to projecting issues as well as ensuring deadlines are not surpassed.Each project will have its own support requirements for you to navigate through and you will need to utilize your organisational skills to effectively execute your role. Long term you could be offered the opportunity to progress into design/project management once gaining the knowledge and experience of the Sprinkler industry.

How you will do it

To support the Project Managers and Directors as required.

Responsible for the generation of basic AutoCAD layouts.

Responsible for the generation of various project support documentation.

What we look for

• Appropriate experience in an office environment


• Excellent IT skills ideally including AutoCAD and Microsoft Office


• Excellent organisational skills


• Full UK driving licence
