Design and Development Manager

A leading specialist in the production of thermoformed plastics for the food sector has an opening within its Design and Development Department.

The role requires hands on leadership and direction for the planning, design and production teams. You will manage the day to day activities of the department, advocate innovation through new product development, and balance the delivery of design led projects for a variety of customers in the UK and beyond.

Key Attributes and Experience

• Hands on management of all aspects of the design and product development process, from incoming sales and planning through to resource management, design, innovation and quality.
• Implementation of systems to monitor performance.
• Proven people management skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Demonstrable leadership skills.
• Thermoforming experience preferred; candidates from design, creative, innovative or product development industries also considered.
• Customer focused mindset with a passion for exceeding expectations.
