Derivatives Collateral Manager

We are looking for a Derivatives Collateral Manager to manage and be accountable for the daily collateral activity across derivatives repo and longevity reinsurance for the Group. In addition, in this role you will look to challenge and improve existing processes and controls.

Responsibilities

1. Supervision, review, and approval of daily derivative collateral margin calls (variation margin and initial margin), repo margin calls, and less frequent reinsurance collateral movements.
2. Develop and maintain relationships with counterparties.
3. Collaborate daily on reconciliation of derivative positions within TriResolve, identifying and resolving differences and breaks.
4. Continuously challenge and improve existing processes.
5. Take ownership of counterparty/internal queries via shared mailbox.
6. Perform timely and accurate monthly reporting to stakeholders and committees.
7. Maintain and update process mapping and documentation, especially during system changes.
8. Complete monthly SOX control attestations with thorough evidence.
9. Engage with external and internal auditors and the financial controls team effectively.
10. Lead new collateral and liquidity-related projects.

Skills & Experience

1. Knowledge of derivative products and securities is essential.
2. Experience in process enhancement and implementing robust controls.
3. Strong knowledge of derivative instruments, cash and securities collateral requirements, and trade lifecycles.
4. Expertise in corporate/government bonds.
5. Experience with TriResolve software.
6. Proficiency in technology software for accounting, treasury, and collateral management.
7. Knowledge of repo and reinsurance agreements is advantageous.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication, with effective stakeholder collaboration skills.
9. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
10. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a good understanding of financial controls.
11. Experience with system implementation is a plus.
