A vacancy has arisen for a Band 6 Deputy Unit Manager to join the Gynaecology Outpatients Team in Wrexham Maelor Hospital on a part time basis. This role involves managing a busy outpatients department, with a number of clinics running on a daily basis, involving procedure clinics e.g. Outpatient Hysteroscopy, Colposcopy and Urogynae clinics.
Main duties of the jobThe role involves managing a busy outpatients department with a number of clinics running on a daily basis. The role involves managing staffing for clinics, supporting the clinics as required, working with the Department Manager to co ordinate rosters, annual leave entitlements and staff allocation and working closely with the operational team. The Deputy Unit Manager will ensure the smooth running of all clinics on a day to day basis ensuring the correct staffing levels and skill mix for a variety of differing clinics including procedure clinics.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person Specification Experience- Evidence of ongoing professional development
- Mentor teaching and assessing course or equivalent
- Registered Nurse
- Commitment to undertake management course/further study
