Deputy Team Manager, Disabled Children (Front Door)

Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Deputy Team Manager within the Disabled Children (Front Door) Team to work Full Time based in Gloucestershire

The salary for this permanent Deputy Team Manager job is up to £57,356per annum.

  • Assist the Team Manager to provide day-to-day management of the team, providing appropriate support, supervision, and performance management to ensure the delivery of high-quality services, the safety and wellbeing of the staff and effective use of resources.
  • Be accountable for management oversight/direction and sign off for decisions made within the Children's Services Front Door.
  • Demonstrating and leading the team in effective communication, both with colleagues and the Multi-Professional Team, to achieve good outcomes for children & families. Actively promoting inter-agency and multi-disciplinary relationships.
  • Effectively promotion in the use of high professional standards and best practice informed by research, ensuring that appropriate decisions are made for all children and young people and modelling robust decision making for the team.
  • Assisting the Leadership team in the Front Door Service to ensure continuous professional development.
  • Supporting the Leadership Team in the Front Door Service to ensure appropriate and consistent decision-making across the County to ensure the correct service is delivered to the right child at the right time, every time.
  • Ensuring effective sue of information sharing across the front door service, and with key stakeholders and agencies who sit outside the hub.
  • Demonstrating leadership across the team by promoting the use of Information Communication Systems and ensuing all electronic file records are kept up to date.
  • Keeping up to date with government guidance and legislation and the implications for practice.
  • Contributing to the development of policies and procedures, including the social worker training strategy.
  • Support the Team Manager with the management and monitoring of team performance, making good use of performance information to drive up standards in the team, and manage individual performance/tackle under-performance and ensure members of the team are supervised regularly in line with expectations.
  • Supporting the Leadership Team in the Front Door Service in leading and implementing continuous improvement through active involvement in service development.
  • Promoting the vision, strategic aims and objectives of the Front Door Service by working in partnership with other agencies to provide excellent practice.
  • To quality assure the work of the team by a range of means including file-audit, observations, and reflective supervision, and nay other means as outlined in the quality assurance framework and contribute to further developments of the framework.

Requirements of this Deputy Team Manager role:

  • A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Registered or eligible for registration.
