Job Description
Deputy Nursery Manager

Clapham / Balham (SW12)

Up to £39,075 salary (dependent on experience and qualifications)

We are looking for a Deputy Nursery Manager to join one of the most recognisable and successful organisations in the childcare and early years sector, who operate over 40 nurseries across London.

ALL of their nurseries are Ofsted rated Outstanding or Good and they differ to a lot of Nursery providers by having a truly unique purpose to have a positive social impact through their provisions across London.

Located in Balham, this nursery is a bright, open-plan setting with separate areas for different age groups and a large garden, and can easily reached via Clapham South and Balham stations, plus multiple bus routes. The children attending enjoy lots of activities with an experienced team of practitioners, from messy play in the mud kitchen to sensory ice, yoga, science experiments, growing herbs and more!

Parents are encouraged to get involved too, reading stories to the children in their native languages.

Benefits
  • Lots of training, promotions and a good salary for the sector
  • Generous pension at 7% from them (1% from you)
  • 70% discount on childcare fees
  • Up to 35 days off a year, including 8 bank holidays, 3 days off between Christmas and New Year, and your birthday (pro-rated for part-time hours)
  • Sector-leading parental leave
  • Many other benefits that take care of you, including access to a wellbeing app, shopping discounts, annual conference and money for team celebrations
Qualifications
  • A full and relevant level 3 (or above) childcare qualification
  • Proven experience managing or leading in an Early Years/Nursery environment with a coaching approach to developing a team of staff
  • Comprehensive knowledge of the EYFS Framework
  • Proven experience and evidence of improving performance
  • The ability to build strong, nurturing relationships with all stakeholders
  • A passion for childcare and child development
