Wecurrently have a Deputy Mental Health Practitioner Vacancy -30 Hours/Week withinour Older Persons Neighbourhood Team.
This role is initially basedat our Spinney Hill site but will require some travel across the City coupledwith some home working. The Team provides a service Monday-Friday 9-5pmnegotiable to accommodate 30/hours.
Based within our City EastNeighbourhood Team you will provide assessment, intervention and support forolder people with both functional and organic mental health challenges. Theservice aims to provide specialist assessment, support, and education to preventadmission or support discharge from hospital. Therefore, your main serviceusers will be the over 65s with functional health difficulties and all ageorganic mental health.
Due to needing to travelaround for this role, you will need to be a driving licence holder for thisrole.

Main duties of the jobA Deputy Community jobinvolves supporting the management and delivery of community-based healthcareservices.
This role typically involvesassisting the team leader in clinical, managerial, and educational aspects,ensuring high-quality care and smooth service operation.
Responsibilities: ClinicalLeadership and Support: Assisting the Team Leader: The deputy will work closelywith the team leader to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the service.
Clinical Supervision:Providing guidance and support to other nurses and healthcare assistants,including supervision and delegation of tasks.
Care Planning and Delivery:Participating in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation ofcare for patients/service users.
Medication Administration:Assisting with and overseeing medication administration, ensuring safety andaccuracy.
Maintaining Standards:Ensuring that service standards are maintained, and that care is deliveredaccording to policies and procedures.
Management and Coordination:Shift Coordination: Coordinating the nursing team during shifts, ensuringappropriate staffing levels and skill mix.
Absence Cover: Covering forthe team leader in their absence, taking responsibility for the unit orservice.
Incident Management:Responding to incidents and emergencies, and taking appropriate action
