Salary/Rate: 42,000.00 - 46,000.00 £ / Year

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Deputy Manager to join our care home team, specialising in senior care and assisted living. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the management team to deliver high-quality care, ensuring the well being of residents, particularly those requiring dementia and Alzheimer's care. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in nursing, home care, or senior care management to contribute to a compassionate and professional environment.

Duties
  • Assist the Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the care home, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.
  • Supervise and support care staff, providing leadership and guidance to maintain high standards of care.
  • Contribute to the development and review of personalised care plans, including specialised dementia and Alzheimer's care programmes.
  • Administer medication in accordance with prescribed protocols, ensuring safety and accuracy.
  • Monitor residents' health and well being, responding promptly to any changes or concerns.
  • Organise staff rotas, ensuring adequate cover for all shifts while maintaining optimal staffing levels.
  • Support staff training and development programmes to uphold best practices in nursing and senior care.
  • Ensure the environment remains safe, clean, and welcoming for residents, visitors, and staff.
  • Liaise with families and healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for residents.
Experience
  • Proven experience working within assisted living or nursing home environments, ideally with a focus on dementia or Alzheimer's care.
  • Demonstrable supervisory or management experience within a care home or similar setting.
  • Knowledge of care planning processes and medication administration protocols.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and support a diverse team of carers and healthcare professionals.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to senior care, including safeguarding procedures.
  • Experience in managing complex cases involving dementia or other cognitive impairments is highly desirable. This role is ideal for compassionate leaders committed to delivering exceptional standards of elderly care within a supportive team environment.
