Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency has a new permanent position available for a Deputy Manager within the Adult Disability Service to work Full Time based in Guernsey.
The salary for this permanent Deputy Manager job is up to £64,615per annum.
- To undertake the assessment of patients/service users with complex needs including individuals with unconfirmed diagnosis.
- To develop, implement and evaluate specialised programmes of care utilising evidence and research.
- To work autonomously, recognising changes in patients/service users presentation which require intervention, knowing when to elevate as appropriate.
- To guide, advise and direct other staff in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of specialised patient/service user care.
- Within field of expertise and policy, request specific clinical tests to establish a diagnosis.
- To ensure professional standards are upheld by the staff members working within he postholders sphere of responsibility.
- To build a therapeutic relationship with patients/service users and their support network, communicating with them in a way that respects their views, language, cultural differences and cognitive function.
- To use a wide range of communication skills that can be adapted to meet the needs of complex and challenging situations.
- To manage conflict between individuals including staff, patients/service users and their support network.
- To communicate effectively with all team members and contribute towards a safe and caring environment for all staff.
- To establish effective working relations with all members of the multi-disciplinary team and outside agencies, clearly relaying condition related information in a timely and effective manner.
- To provide clear, concise, and accurate electronic and paper records of the care given in accordance with agreed policy and standards.
- To ensure team members are aware of organisational objectives, policies and procedures and implications that they have for their practice.
- To contribute to the recruitment of team members and ensure a positive and supportive working environment for all staff.
- To organise own workload and tasks and that of others, demonstrating the ability to recognise changing priorities and adjusting plans accordingly.
Requirements of this Deputy Manager role:
- A social Work Qualification or equivalent.
- Experience at a Band 5 or equivalent.
- Understanding of relevant legislation.
- Registered or eligible for registration.
