Job Title: Deputy Manager - Children's Home 
Location: Harrogate, North Yorkshire
Salary: £38,000 - £43,000 per annum

Job DescriptionOur client, a leading provider of children's residential care, is seeking a dedicated Deputy Manager to join their new two-bed children's home in Harrogate. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be part of the leadership team from the outset, helping to establish a nurturing and trauma-informed environment for young people aged 8-17.
Key Responsibilities- Supporting the Registered Manager in ensuring the safe and effective operation of the home, including safeguarding, care planning, and risk management.
- Leading shift operations, supervising staff, and promoting high standards of residential practice.
- Contributing to the development of a positive team culture and delivering trauma-informed care.
- Supporting young people through individualised care plans, behaviour support, and emotional wellbeing strategies.
- Ensuring compliance with Children's Homes Regulations and preparing for Ofsted inspections.
- Engaging in reflective practice, incident review, and multi-agency collaboration to support young people's needs.
- Assisting with staff induction, training, and ongoing professional development.
- A Level 3 (or higher) Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification.
- At least 2 years' experience in a children's residential setting.
- A full UK driving licence and flexibility to work shifts, including sleep ins and weekends.
- A good understanding of Children's Homes Regulations and trauma-informed care principles.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to challenge and support staff effectively.
- A calm, resilient approach to working with vulnerable children and young people.
