Job Description
Deputy Manager - Adult Residential Care 
Location: Nottingham (NG3) Salary: £31,279 per annum Full time, 40 hours per week, permanently.
OverviewWe are looking for an experienced Deputy Manager to support the Registered Manager and ensure the service delivers outstanding person centred care for adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, and complex care needs.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Registered Manager with the day to day running of the service.
- Deputise for the Registered Manager when required.
- Lead shifts and ensure safe, effective, and person centred care is delivered.
- Supervise, mentor, and support Team Leaders and Support Workers.
- Assist with staff recruitment, inductions, supervisions, appraisals, and ongoing development.
- Oversee rotas, staffing levels, and shift planning.
- Support care planning, risk assessments, medication management, and quality assurance.
- Ensure safeguarding concerns, incidents, and complaints are managed appropriately.
- Complete audits relating to care quality, medication, health and safety, and compliance.
- Build positive relationships with families, healthcare professionals, commissioners, and external agencies.
- Drive continuous improvement and promote a positive culture throughout the service.
- Experience working within adult social care in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, or complex care needs.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding, care planning, risk management, and person centred care.
- Excellent leadership, organisational, and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm and make effective decisions under pressure.
- Desirable: Previous experience as a Deputy Manager, Team Leader, or Senior Support Worker.
- Experience with audits, compliance, and quality assurance.
- Level 3 or Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
- Experience managing staff performance, supervisions, and training.
