As a Deputy Home Manager, you will ensure the level of clinical care goes beyond professional standards and statutory, regulatory, and legal requirements. This includes providing specialist nursing support and advice, taking responsibility for resident care in the Home Manager's absence, and supervising/coaching colleagues to deliver empathetic, resident-centred care.

Job requirementsHC-One is looking for a Deputy Home Manager with:
- A valid NMC PIN
- Knowledge of National Standards
- Familiarity with the NMC code of practice
- A background in person-centred care planning within a care home
- A brilliant, positive energy and the ability to work well with people
- Strong mentoring, time management, and record-keeping skills
- A considerate and kind communication approach with residents and colleagues
You will value kindness above all, as it drives our Dementia, Nursing, Residential, and Specialist care homes. All colleagues are expected to recognise signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and know how to respond. Safeguarding training is required, and you should be able to seek appropriate advice and escalate concerns when action is not taken.
Safeguarding and ethicsSafeguarding is everyone's responsibility. All colleagues attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role and undertake additional training as needed. You should be able to recognise signs of abuse, harm, or neglect and report concerns appropriately.
