Job Description
Deputy Headteacher - Quality of Education

The Crestwood School is recruiting a Deputy Headteacher to join the Senior Leadership Team and lead on the Quality of Education. Candidates should embody our values of Respect, Resilience and Relationships and be driven, ambitious and forward thinking.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Headteacher in strategic and operational management, development and leadership of the school.
  • Help achieve the vision, ethos, aims and objectives within the Invictus Trust's strategic plans.
  • Provide strategic direction to improve student outcomes and support curriculum development.
  • Lead by example as an excellent practitioner and senior leader within the school.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Deep knowledge of curriculum development.
  • A clear vision and proven track record of raising standards.
  • Significant background of strong leadership at senior level in a school.
  • High expectations for students and staff, with the energy and enthusiasm to contribute to the school's success.
Safeguarding and Recruitment

In line with Keeping Children Safe in Education 2025, the Trust will carry out an online search on all shortlisted candidates to identify any publicly available incidents or concerns that may pose a safeguarding risk or bring the Trust into disrepute. Findings will be shared with the recruitment manager and may be discussed at interview.

All required pre employment checks will be undertaken, and offers of employment are subject to satisfactory outcomes. These include an enhanced DBS check with Children's Barred List information, identity checks, online checks, and verification of professional qualifications and references.

This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS Check and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974.
